Thanks to the large fleet that we have at TMD we are able to make daily deliveries of goods throughout Spain, as well as loads in the Central and Northern areas. We keep more than 40 trucks in our infrastructures to offer a more complete and satisfactory service to all our clients.

Among the 40 trucks, the tautliners, also known as curtain wall trucks, stand out. They are responsible for providing security and confidence in the journey, as well as successful results when it comes to delivering the goods on time and in good condition.

What are Tauliner trucks?

The Tautliner is a truck with side curtains, which makes it easier to load and unload goods. It is a very advanced way of offering comfort. A cargo transport has to comply with different features such as power, traction and fuel efficiency, but there are designs that give us much more than just technical aspects.

The Tautliner provides access to truck payloads through the rear door and also through the sides, thanks to curtains on both sides. The curtain fabrics are made of polyester and coated with woven gold, which makes them 50% stronger. These curtains are hooked onto the trolley connecting rails with straps that can withstand up to 3,000 pounds of load tension.

One of the main advantages of this system is that the load space capacity is utilised to the maximum, thanks to the flexibility of these curtains. Also, having access from the rear of the truck as well as from both sides makes the loading and unloading process more agile and efficient, saving considerable time.

In short, a Tautliner is a type of truck that makes the loading and unloading process easier, saving time and transport costs.
